On Monday, February 8, James Repetti, Moderator for the Town of Dover, determined that Town Meeting voters might be unable to attend the Special Town Meeting that was supposed to take place that night due to the snowstorm.
After consulting with the Fire and Police Chiefs and Board of Selectmen for the Town of Dover, Repetti decided to postpone the Special Town Meeting and continued it until Monday, February 22 at 7 p.m. at the Dover-Sherborn Regional School Alan Mudge Auditorium.
On January 7, the Board of Selectmen executed the warrant for a Special Town Meeting to be held on February 8 in the Alan Mudge Auditorium at the Dover-Sherborn Regional High School.
The Selectmen have urged citizens to attend this Meeting to discuss and vote on whether or not to amend the Minuteman Regional Vocational High School agreement, and also to vote on whether or not the Town of Dover should withdraw from the District.
All 16 communities who are members of the Minuteman Regional School District are holding Special Town Meetings before March 1 for this purpose. The amendments to the existing agreement must be accepted by all 16 towns in order to go into effect.
