On Saturday, January 30, an unprecedented 24 students from Dover-Sherborn auditioned for the MMEA Eastern Jr. District Festival, and 10 students were selected for the festival.
The following students were chosen for the festival: Anna Davis (grade 7), second Alto in the Treble Chorus; Taylor Melenovsky (grade 7), Alto in the Mixed Chorus; Amanda Dye (grade 8), second Soprano in the Treble Chorus; Jordyn DeVellis (grade 8), Soprano in the Mixed Chorus; Grace Qian (grade 9), second Soprano in the Treble Chorus; and Jude Correll (grade 9), first Chair first Oboe in the Concert Band.
Also chosen for the festival were Patrick Whitaker (grade 8), third Trumpet second Chair in the Concert Band; Hannah Szeto (grade 9), first Chair first French Horn in the Orchestra; Ashley Gong (grade 7), second Oboe third Chair in the Concert Band; and Bella Tate (grade 8), second French Horn first Chair in the Concert Band.
These students will be attending an all-day rehearsal on Friday, March 4, and then a dress rehearsal and concert on Saturday, March 5 at Lincoln-Sudbury High.
