Dover-Sherborn Mock Trial headed to state final

The Dover Sherborn High School Mock Trial team will compete in the Massachusetts State Final against Newton South High School on Friday, March 20 at the Great Hall in Faneuil Hall in Boston.

The Raiders finished 3–0 in the preliminary rounds, including a victory over Noble and Greenough School. In the Round of 32, Dover Sherborn defeated defending state champion Windsor School to advance in the tournament.

Last week at the Moakley Courthouse in Boston, the team continued its run with a Sweet Sixteen victory over Bishop Feehan High School and followed that with a strong performance against Sharon High School in the Elite Eight to earn a place in the state championship round.

“It’s been an incredible run by this team,” said longtime Dover Sherborn Mock Trial Head Coach Tom Bourque. “Their effort, dedication, and commitment to practice has shown through in the courtroom. This is the first time a Dover Sherborn Mock Trial team has reached the state final.”

Members of the team include captains Freddy Courtin and Kyle Wetjen, Siena Pedder, Caroline Ho, Stanley Liu, Tallulah Dolan, Raina Patel, Grace Melanson, Abby Artabane, Marin Forde, Pranav Kollipara, Nate Whalen, Koji Ting, MacKenzie Johnson, James Davies, Owen Bergstressor, and Harvey Pedder.
