The Dover Foundation has announced the release of its 70th anniversary book.
The book has been compiled to celebrate the Foundation's 70th anniversary and covers all shows from 1947 to their most recent show, “Guys and Dolls,” which was performed in May of this year.
The team who put the book together enjoyed discovering the history and stories of the Foundation as they went through all the photos, notes, minutes, and programs that have been collected over the years.
The history of the Foundation - how it was formed and why - is all in the book, along with countless photos of the shows in black and white for older productions and in glorious color for the more recent years. It highlights not only the shows and everyone on stage who helped to bring each show to life, but also all the “unsung heroes,” those people who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make each production a success.
The book is a wonderful celebration of not only the Dover Foundation's 70 years, but also of community spirit at its best.
The book is available to order now by visiting www.thedoverfoundation.com and downloading the order form. It can also be purchased at its official launch at the Dover Foundation's “Cabaret” evening to be held on Friday, November 17, at Kraft Hall, Dover.
The Cabaret evening starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are available on the door; adults $20 and students $10. Dinner and drinks will be served (cash bars).
Those who have already ordered the book may pick it up at the "Cabaret" evening; alternatively, it will be delivered or shipped after the 17th.
