On Thursday, April 28, from 7–8:30 p.m., Dana Hall School will host “The Forum: A Conversation on Girls and Today’s Campus Culture.” This collaborative program is free and open to the public. Attendees should sign up at www.danahall.org/springforum16.
The Forum at Dana Hall School is a symposium series designed to examine a topic of particular relevance to girls and girls’ education. As national headlines are dominated by news of sexual assault and misconduct, parents and educators are looking for ways to empower their daughters by addressing these complicated and important issues. The spring 2016 symposium will focus on the particular challenges facing adolescent girls and young women in social and sexual situations.
At this event, educators and experts will discuss and share practical strategies to help parents and educators communicate with girls and explore issues of personal safety, power dynamics and potential risk.
Panelists include Dr. Diane L. Rosenfeld, J.D., LL.M, Lecturer on Law, Harvard Law School and Jessica Teperow, Director of Prevention Programs for REACH Beyond Domestic Violence. Dana Hall Head of School Caroline Erisman will serve as the moderator for the event.
