Members of Cub Scout Pack 52, Den 5 paid a visit to the Massachusetts State House recently.
State Representative Denise Garlick and Senator Mike Rush greeted the scouts and posed for photos before answering questions about politics and government from the curious scouts.
The scouts also took a tour of the State House, and learned about how state politics works. Garlick and Rush helped teach the young scouts about what they do at the State House, and walked the scouts through what was happening at the State House that day: a debate and vote on an amendment to the state constitution to raise taxes on those making over $1 million.
