The Chicatabot Garden Club of Dover has received a Yearbook Award Certificate from the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts for its 2017 – 2018 yearbook.
This yearbook is published yearly for members and includes, all in one place, important history and by-laws, membership listings for both the Federation and Club members, and details of various public lectures and social programs scheduled during the upcoming year. Chicatabot was honored in its membership category for the second straight year.
Now in its 49th year, Chicatabot has been active in a wide variety of Dover educational and civic activities. Most recently, in addition to the flower barrels at the traffic island in the center of town, the Club has overseen the development and maintenance of a number of gardens including West End Park, McGill Corner, Springdale Triangle, the granite bench in front of the Dover Library, and the planting of thousands of daffodil bulbs from Channing Pond through the center of town and on to Caryl Park.
