Medfield High School is recognizing 11 students who showcased their business acumen and leadership skills at the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), held April 25–29 in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The annual DECA ICDC highlights top student performers and leaders from all 50 states, as well as participants from Canada, China, Germany, Honduras, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The event also connects students with business partners and universities, helping prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for an increasingly complex global economy.
According to school officials, Medfield’s students demonstrated exceptional dedication and preparation throughout the DECA season, developing critical thinking, creative strategy, and presentation skills while competing in a variety of business-focused events.

Among the team’s accomplishments, Hannah Crocker, Sam George, and Nina Prilutska earned medals, with George and Prilutska also finishing as top finalists in their events. In addition, Chris Unger will serve on the Massachusetts DECA State Action Team 68, following George’s service this year on State Action Team 67.
The Medfield team was led by teachers Kerry Lynch and Karen Shaffer.
Beyond competition, DECA ICDC provides students with opportunities to network with peers and participate in workshops, seminars, and leadership development activities designed to prepare them for future success.
This year, more than 270 students from Medfield High School participated in DECA, competing in role-play scenarios and project-based events across fields including marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, tourism, sports, and management.
School officials congratulated Medfield’s international DECA team and expressed enthusiasm for the continued growth of the program in the 2026–2027 school year.
