Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu, Sherborn youngsters to skate in SCB annual benefit

Less than two weeks after becoming the first American in 24 years to win an Olympic figure skating gold medal, Alysa Liu will be performing in Greater Boston.

The Skating Club of Boston, New England’s premier center for figure skating, is hosting its annual benefit ice show, Ice Chips, on Feb. 28 and March 1 with Liu as the headline performer.

Liu, who also won a team gold, will be making her first appearance in the United States after the games conclude.

Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey will be performed for three shows; on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and one show on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood.

Liu is the current World Champion, the recent 2025 Skate America Champion, and a two-time national champion, winning her first at the age of 13, making her the youngest skater to win the title.

Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey will also showcase a cast of local, national and international competitors, including 15-year-old Mia Ci and 9-year-old Adeline Lowder from Sherborn.

Senior performers will include Olympian and 2026 U.S. bronze medalist, Max Naumov; Olympians and 2026 U.S. pewter medalists, Emily Chan and Spencer Howe; Olympian and 2026 European silver medalist Aleksandr Selevko; two-time U.S. pairs champions, Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov; and 2025 Four Continents bronze medalist, Jimmy Ma. Other performers include the 31-time U.S. Synchronized Skating Champions Haydenettes and 2026 U.S. junior pairs silver medalists Sofia Jarmoc and Luke Witkowski.

“To bring Alysa Liu to the Boston area right after the 2026 Winter Games is a thrill for our local skating fans,” said Doug Zeghibe, CEO and executive director of The Skating Club of Boston. “This annual benefit is a great opportunity for skating enthusiasts of every age to see Alysa and other world-class skaters perform up close and personal in the intimacy and comfort of the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center.”
