Westwood Historical Society to hold historic landscaping program

The Westwood Historical Society is hosting a program Tuesday February 9 at 7:30 p.m. on Historical Landscape Architecture at the Fisher School located at 830 High Street in Westwood.

Carissa Demore, Preservation Services Manager at Historic New England in Waltham will be giving the lecture. Her lecture is entitled "Landscapes for the Streetcar Suburb" a historical overview of what designs were typical in the yards and gardens of residential neighborhoods in Boston and the surrounding communities.

Come explore historic Boston with this lecture on trends in landscape architecture and the redevelopment of Boston's green space. This event is free of charge and is open to the general public. Light refreshments will be served following the lecture.
