The Westwood Environmental Action Committee will host a forum on the use of solar panels on Thursday, January 28, at 7 p.m. at the Westwood Senior Center.
The goal of the forum is to provide practical information to homeowners on how to solarize their homes from conception to installation.
Local experts will be on hand to cover many topics relating to home solar, including how to choose the right panel, net metering, estimation of power needs, purchase and lease options, costs, savings and incentives.
Participants will also have the opportunity to talk to homeowners who have recently installed solar panels about their experiences.
Using solar panels to generate electricity offers many advantages in terms of cost and emissions reduction.
