Walpole Children’s Theatre (WCT) is set to present “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” based on the classic adventure by L. Frank Baum, this July.

A cyclone carries Dorothy and her dog, Toto, to the magical land of Oz, where they encounter all the famous characters along the way, along with some new faces, as well. The play is filled with wonderful stage thrills, awesome and funny meetings with the great Oz himself, and eventually, a battle with the Wicked Witch of the West.

This production marks WCT’s 50th anniversary season as they strive to bring another whirlwind adventure to the community.

Performances will be held at Walpole Footlighters Playhouse, located at 2 Scout Road in E. Walpole, on the following dates: Friday, July 19, 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 20, 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, July 21, 2:00 p.m.; Friday, July 26, 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
