The hockey team of Walpole High School put on a youth street hockey tournament on Sunday, October 30, with all proceeds being donated to charity. This year’s charity of choice was the Tommy Quinn Memorial Scholarship. Quinn, who succumbed to cancer after a courageous eight year battle, was a former classmate of the seniors.

The tournament, which included three divisions for kids from third through eighth grade, was coached and refereed by Walpole High hockey players.

The Youth Street Hockey 4 on 4 was the inaugural event of what is hopefully going to become a recurring tradition, with each year’s seniors deciding who the tournament will benefit.
