Walpole gearing up for annual Night Before the Fourth celebration

The Walpole Fire Department and the Walpole Recreation Department are gearing up for another fabulous fireworks show, which will take place on the Night Before the Fourth, Sunday July 3.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the popular Fire Engine Parade that starts at the East Walpole Square. The parade features fire trucks and engines from various towns, cities and decades.

At 6:30 p.m. Stone Field will fill with energy and excitement as the band The Infractions take the stage. With a mix of patriotic music, contemporary, pop, classic rock, reggae, and more – they’re sure to be a crowd pleaser.

The Fire Station will have refreshments and drinks for sale, including sausages and hot dogs.

At 9:30 p.m. the moment that everyone has been waiting for finally arrives. Atlas Pyrotechnics will light up the night sky with a wide array of fireworks that will rival shows put on by some of our big city neighbors.

The Night Before the Fourth Celebration is funded 100 percent by donations. With each $25 donation made at the Walpole Recreation Department, located in Blackburn Hall, 30 Stone Street, you will receive a Night Before the Fourth t-shirt.

Check or cash donations can be made out to the “Night Before the Fourth Committee” and dropped off at or mailed to Walpole Recreation Department, Attention: Night Before the Fourth, 135 School Street, Walpole, MA 02081
