Following a lost season last spring and a long run MIBL playoff run as the River Rats, Medfield High School baseball recently had its next wave of players announce their intentions to play baseball in college.

Playing at the Division I level will be recently graduated ace pitcher Ryan Donahue, who is headed to Quinnipiac, and rising junior shortstop Jack Goodman, who is committed to Pepperdine.

Rising senior infielder Dennis Folan committed to Division II power Stonehill. Rising senior first baseman Sam Kornet committed to play at Skidmore (Division III) and rising senior outfielder/catcher Ben Leonard committed to play at NESCAC power Tufts (Division III).

The MIBL season this past summer clearly has allowed players to continue their recruitment processes during a time when doing so has never been more difficult. With Goodman, Leonard, Folan and Kornet, as well as several other big names back next spring, expectations for Medfield High School varsity baseball are going to be extremely high.
