“The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation by members of the Needham Police Department, the Wellesley Police Crash Reconstruction team, and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office,” read a post on the Needham Police Department’s Facebook page.

Days later on December 24, a 79 year-old woman from Port Richey, FL was struck in the middle of a crosswalk at the intersection of Highland and Oakland Ave. The car fled continued away from the scene of the accident, though was followed by a witness to the collision. The driver was subsequently identified as a 70 year-old Needham woman.
