Mitchell-Broadmeadow annual parents-teachers hoops game

The annual Mitchell-Broadmeadow parent-teacher basketball game will be played in front of hundreds of screaming and adoring students and families on Friday, May 6. The game will be at Needham High School gym. Players are sneaking in some pre-game practice time, and returning coaches Rich Shaw and Mike Eisenstadt have been looking forward all year to this very spirited friendly competition.

Many advance tickets have already been sold, and it promises to be a packed house! Fans are encouraged to arrive early to get a good seat. Doors are open at 6:30 PM and tip-off is at 7 PM.

A Boston Celtics jersey will be awarded to one boy and one girl in the 5th grade free-throw contest held during halftime. The Honors Band has graciously agreed to provide rousing music. Concessions will be available throughout the evening. The event, though modestly priced, generates some income for the schools’ PTCs.

Students are encouraged to don their “school spirit wear” and create positively-themed signs and banners showing support.
