Meet the Need dinner a success

Over 200 guests joined the Sisters of Charity (Halifax) and Board Members of the Elizabeth Seton Residence at the Wellesley Country Club to celebrate their annual Meet the Need dinner. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception followed by dinner and were entertained by all time favorites, The Winiker Jazz Trio and pianist, Sunny Lee.

The guest of honor was Tory DeFazio III, whose involvement with the Sisters of Charity (Halifax) began with his early education at Saint Joseph’s Academy in Wellesley Hills. Tory continues his commitment to the Sisters today. A native of Wellesley, Tory has always been active in Town Government and other local organizations. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Wellesley’s own Kelley Tuthill, VP of Communications and Pubic Relations at Regis College and former WCVB reporter.

This Annual Meet the Need Dinner kicked off the Elizabeth Seton Residence development efforts to support both current physical plant needs and programmatic growth for the future. “We are planning for the future of the Residence, ensuring we can continue the legacy of excellence in nursing care that the Sisters of Charity began in 1980,” says Lori Ferrante, the Administrator at Elizabeth Seton Residence. Adds Ferrante: “We hope that those who have been involved with the Residence over the past 37 years, as well as the many people who will benefit from care in the future, will support this important and most worthy endeavor.”
