Arts on the Green coming to Elm Bank

The Gardens at Elm Bank will open its gates free to all for the third annual Arts on the Green on Wednesday, September 13 from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Members of the community are encouraged to soak up the last of summer by wandering the gardens, enjoying live music, and strolling through Elm Bank’s Art Walk. Support local artists showcasing and selling their work throughout our beautiful gardens. View the New England Sculptors Association’s summer-long sculpture exhibit at Elm Bank. Enjoy hands-on family art activities and garden tours for all ages. Music will be provided by LiveWire Boston, an eclectic mix of music that people love.

LiveWire-Quartet-Photo-(2)Attendees may bring a picnic dinner in addition to lawn chairs or blankets. Wine, beer and other beverages will be sold. Admission is free. This special community event is sponsored by The Wellesley Bank Charitable Foundation.

This year will also feature the New England Sculptors Association’s exhibition at Elm Bank. Nestled among the gorgeous flowers and tall grasses will be “Gifts from the Garden,” sculptures created by New England Sculptors Association members. The exhibit runs through October 9. Visitors will be able to listen to the sculptors describe their art and creative process through a special audio tour on their cell phones. The exhibit features 37 sculptures from 21 artists.

This event was rescheduled from its original postponed date in July.
