Two Walpole teens are planning to host a Paint Night fundraiser to raise money for amputees.

Walpole High seniors Catherine Shivers and Samantha Chauvin are planning to host a Paint Night fundraiser at Finnegan’s Wake on March 20 at 2 p.m. The fundraiser will on raise money for Catherine’s Cause, a fundraiser Shivers started in 2014.

Shivers began holding fundraisers after he grandfather’s battle with peripheral arterial disease. The disease cost her grandfather a limb, which showed her how challenging life is for amputees who struggle to move on after losing a limb.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Limbs For Life, a non-profit organization that helps support amputees who struggle to afford prosthetics. The organization helps to provide necessary care and treatment for amputees.

The fundraiser will feature painting instruction led by a professional instructor and is suitable for all ages. In addition, several raffles will also be held.

In order for the fundraiser to go on as planned, Catherine needs to sell at least 35 tickets. Each ticket costs $45, with $15 of each sale going directly to Limbs for Life. Each ticket also includes two raffle tickets.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting Catherine Shivers at catherinescause@gmail.com or by calling 508-660-0767.
