The Westwood High boys hockey team faced off against Ashland on Saturday night at the Boch Ice Rink and picked up a 6-1 win. The win leaves the Wolverines with a 7-4-0 record this season.

Senior Nick Conway led the Wolverines’ offense with several goals during the game. Senior Matt Dalton, junior Ben Lewis, junior Brian Guarino and junior John Reissfelder also picked up one goal each during the game.

The win brought the Wolverines’ latest winning streak up to four straight games. The team began the new year with a loss to Medfield, but went on to pick up a 6-0 shutout win against Norton.

The team fell to Hokinton and Hanover, but then began a winning streak when the Wolverines beat Medway and Bellingham with back-to-back shutout wins, picking up a 5-0 win against Medway and a 7-0 win against Bellingham.

The team picked up a third win against Holliston several days later with a final score of 4-1.

The team was scheduled to face Boston Latin on Monday, but the game was canceled due to the snowstorm. The team faced Medfield on Wednesday, and takes to the ice next in the Fairleigh Dickinson Tournament against Weston, Lynnfield and Martha’s Vineyard on Martha’s Vineyard this weekend.
