On July 15, the Walpole Swim Team held a contest to help raise fund for the new Walpole Senior Center.
The theme was "Swim Across America." Each swimmer was to swim one lap for each of the 50 states. Fifty laps are equal to a mile.
A special award was presented to Kevin Carlin, an 8-year-old, for swimming 100 laps.
A total of $1100 was raised.
