Two weeks ago, nine Medfield High athletes, including Liam Gately (UMass-Lowell) and Thomas Schofield (Bryant), committed to play a sport in college by signing their national letters of intent. This past week, another Medfield High lacrosse player made his college decision as senior midfielder and faceoff specialist Dylan McNally signed his NLI to attend Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.

Originally committed to play at Hartwick College (Division III) back in May, the ability to play at the Division I level at Canisius was clearly too good to pass up for McNally, who along with Gately and Schofield joins an elite and deep class of former Medfield High athletes to go on and play lacrosse at the Division I level (Jack Cahill – Holy Cross, Andrew Garfield – Quinnipiac, John MacLean – Boston University, etc).

Despite the loss of a deeply talented 2017 senior class, as well as star attack-man and Johns Hopkins commit Owen Murphy to prep school, expectations are still as high as ever for the 2018 Warrior laxers. McNally, Gately, and Schofield will provide a solid core of senior leadership with players like attack-man Mike Hauptman and attack-man Jack McCordic also supplying consistency on offense.
