Following a record-breaking season in 2017 that saw a Division III state championship game appearance for Steve Ryan’s varsity team over at Dover-Sherborn Regional High School, DS continues to flex its muscle on being an emerging baseball hotbed.

This past summer, two Dover-Sherborn youth baseball all-star teams at the 12-year old and 10-year old levels, emerged as champions of the Tondorf Baseball Tournament, topping teams from seven other communities.

Champions of the 10-year old division, this band of Raiders poses as one with some new hardware.

The 11-year old and 9-year old teams advanced to the semifinals, where they ultimately fell to teams who would go on to win their respective tournaments.

The DS 11-year old All-Stars also enjoyed a successful summer season and semifinal berth.

“This was Dover-Sherborn’s most successful summer baseball performance since the town joined the Tondorf Tournament,” said Dover-Sherborn Youth Baseball Commissioner John Forman.

With so much success coming at the youth level, DS Regional High’s baseball program appears to be in good hands when these young boys all finally get their shots at varsity in the next four to six years.
