The Medfield American Legion, 110 Peter Kristof Way, will once again play host to a night of music to support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and the Pediatric IBD Foundation (PEDI IBD).

The eighth annual Winter Blues Concert, organized by Medfield residents Larry Kramer and Andy Spencer of the band Route 109, will take place on Friday, March 18 beginning at 8 p.m.

Over the past eight years, the concert has raised more than $50,000 for charity and Kramer and Spencer are hoping to add a significant amount to that again this year.

Added to the lineup of bands this year is PleasantVillains. Medfield residents Nancy (lead vocals/percussions) and Jerry Baden (drums) formed the band with residents of Millis and Natick. The band will be joined by Trills and Chills, an a cappella group from the Eva Kendrick Voice Studio.

“All our Winter Blues and MEMO Summer Concerts since 2009 have been memorable and entertaining - we look forward to putting on a fun and diverse show,” said Kramer, whose family is the inspiration behind the charities that the concert will support.

Spencer added, “We all love playing music and seeing friends and neighbors get out and dance. It’s also great to see so many people helping a great cause.”

Tickets, which are tax-deductible, are $20 and are available at the door, from members of the bands, or by emailing route109band@gmail.com

There will also be raffles for Boston sports tickets and gift cards to local restaurants and retail  outlets. Do not miss this night of music for a great cause.
