Garden Club keeps Sherborn In Bloom

[ccfic caption-text format="plaintext"]

The Sherborn Garden Club invites all residents of Sherborn to purchase beautiful, Dutch-imported daffodil (and many other) bulbs through their now-annual event, Sherborn in Bloom. The Sherborn in Bloom fundraiser is being promoted through June 25.

The SGC was a proud participant in the establishment of the historic Sherborn Daffodil Trail. The project began in 1982 and was completed in 2012.

The Daffodil Trail can be seen today, represented by the lovely plantings of daffodils along stonewalls and roadsides throughout the town. The daffodils are a living memorial to the Saltonstall Family, who so generously donated funds to build the town library. Residents are encouraged to continue this tradition by planting daffodils on their properties each fall.

The bulbs also make a lovely and lasting gift for Father’s Day, teacher appreciation and as a donation to town institutions such as the library and the playground.

Bulbs may be ordered in several ways. Residents may use the yellow order form that can be picked up at several local establishments in town or download the order form from the Garden Club’s website at www.sherborngardenclub.org.
